Gareth Wyn
Gareth Wyn is taking clubland by storm. Cream Ibiza favourite and Beat That label owner, he's part of the DJ producer nu breed, fast earning a reputation as one of the scene's rising stars. Pete Tong’s a regular supporter of his music, inviting Gareth to deliver his first BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix in January 2011.
London based, but with strong Welsh connections, Gareth mastered his DJ skills at Cream, Liverpool, where he’s developing a huge following with the superclub’s faithful. Recognised as Best Breakthrough DJ at the Mixmag Ibiza Dance Awards, in 2012 he returns to the white isle with Cream as bi-weekly resident at the mighty Amnesia.
Gareth’s production skills are also gaining serious recognition. A classically trained musician, he writes, produces and engineers from his own South London studio, with an output and appreciation that transcends genre; house and progressive, through to trance and techno.
His demand as a producer has exploded in the last few years with recent remixes for Noel Gallagher (AKA…What A Life), Emeli Sande (Heaven) and Labrinth (Earthquake) plus Paul Oakenfold & Marco V, BT, Sade, Beyonce, Usher, Britney Spears, The Gossip, Junkie XL, DJ Mujava and Christina Aguilera, to name a few.
Gareth’s record label Beat That provides his underground four to the floor output with a growing list of Beatport Chart success, and a monthly podcast regularly in the iTunes Top 20.
Back in the UK he’s breaking though, and let’s not forget Creamfields, Liverpool where Gareth has smashed the awesome 10,000 capacity main Cream Arena for the last four years, pulling a huge crowd at the sold out festival over August Bank Holiday 2011.
Keep your eyes on the booth and ears to the speaker - Gareth Wyn is on fire!
